I live in Shelburne Falls with my wife and some of our seven daughters (now in their late teens and twenties, they come and go).  Nature is my favorite place--whether by woods or stream, meadow or sky, oak or gull--I love to be Outside.  I breathe deeply into this body and marvel at the inheritance: hundreds of millions of years of evolution.  I smile and nod at the people and animals, near and distant kin, that make their homes here too.
